PSSA and Keystone Testing
In order to comply with federal and state regulations, standardized testing takes place in all schools. These standardized tests include the Pennsylvania System of School Assessments (PSSAs) and the Keystone Exams.
The English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics PSSAs are administered in grades 3-8. Students in grades five and eight also take a PSSA Science Test. All PSSA tests are designed to measure student performance in the PA Core Standards or PA Standards.
The Keystone Exams are administered to high school students in the following content areas: Algebra I, Literature and Biology. Students will take these exams in conjunction with correlating courses. Students must complete a Keystone Exam in each of these subjects by the end of their junior year.
