Hello Middletown Community,
Five years ago, I accepted the role of superintendent with a simple but powerful goal to work alongside our community to make the Middletown Area School District the best it can be. As a proud 1990 graduate and someone who has served our district in many different roles since 1996, teacher, coach, parent, resident, principal, assistant superintendent, and now superintendent, I have seen firsthand the strength, pride, passion, and dedication that make Middletown a special place.
Over the past four years, we have worked hard to raise academic expectations in every classroom, strengthen our student support systems, normalize expectations for student discipline, build a sense of respect and belonging, invest in our facilities, and celebrate the uniqueness that sets our community apart. Whether in academics, the arts, or athletics, our students continue to grow into the best versions of themselves because of the dedication of our staff, the overwhelming trust and support from our families, and the resilience of our community.
Now in my 30th year working in the district and my fifth leading it, my commitment remains the same: to lead with Raider Pride and ensure that “Every Student, Every Day” is our primary focus. With a continued focus on working together and tuning out distractions that detract from moving forward in a positive direction, we will continue to work hard to build a school district that makes the Middletown community proud.
